In the last few weeks we have been focusing on fishing the oyster bars in the halifax for Trout and Redfish. The bite has been good with some major schools of barely slot trout numbering in the hundreds. Redfish have been patrolling the shores, pushing wakes, and getting so shallow they protrude halfway out of water. I had been finding some nice fish (though scattered) along the West shoreline up near Tomoka Park. Willing eaters, strong shouldered fish, a real treat.
